giving for
teens
Gifts to the WPL Foundation help provide Waverly youth with a community center designed just for their needs.
A Place to Call Their Own
Unlike many communities, Waverly is fortunate to have a large group of tweens and teens who use the Library as a regular meeting place with friends and a space for collaboration, gaming, and activities.
Making a gift to the Foundation helps area youth expand the idea of what a Library can offer as a community center and supports Waverly’s young adults in making the Library their own.

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.

A focus on community
A WPL Foundation gift made by the Lags (Dave Lageschulte) Trust helped to create the Teen Tech and Youth Lounge, named for Dave’s mother, Virginia Lageschulte.
Virginia lived a life focused on community and held a special place in her heart for youth education and the role of public libraries. The teen room named in her honor recognizes a life dedicated to the importance of writing and storytelling, and the fundamental value of community service.
