Giving to the Foundation helps support the children in Waverly and the surrounding area now and for years to come.

SPACE FOR KIDS TO GROW

Babies bounce on laps. Toddlers wander from books to toys and back again. Elementary children arrive via bus 5 days a week. There are songs, stories, games, puppets, and play.

Your gift to the WPL Foundation helps support the many Library programs, materials, and spaces designed for children and caregivers. Make a gift and help more children grow up loving the Library.

How Your Gift to the Foundation Benefits Children

planting a seed

A donation to the Foundation in the name of local business Rada Manufacturing helped build the Children’s Story Tree, a unique art sculpture which serves as a focal point within the children’s area.

The idea for the Story Tree came from the family of Luke Frerking, a Library staff member who passed away in 2016. Luke was an avid reader and storyteller, and the “seed” was planted then to honor him by incorporating a tree into Library renovation plans. The public is encouraged to stop by to see how that idea has “grown.”
